| Maurice is our stage hand. He is dedicated
to his work and does an excellent job on the floors. He majored in
physics, and has a Ph.D. in philosophy from Berkeley. He has come
to us via India, after 6 years keeping the grounds clean at a sufi shrine.
Prior to his time in India, he spent 2 years of silence while keeping the
floors clean at a Zen Monastery in Japan. Some speculate this may explain
his propensity for talking whenever he gets a chance. He will say
his talking comes from the years he's spent listening to his Rabbi.
He regularly attends services at Grace Cathedral, where he can often be
found talking to people, and cleaning the grounds against the will of the
